By illustrating artists in African clothing, Owusu-Ansah hopes that it will bring awareness to African culture. Here he captures Drake, or in this case, Aubrey Drake Abdul-Salam Graham.

He has not only put artists in authentic African clothes but given them African names. Beyonce has been named Beyonce Lankenua Carter.

Dennis Owusu-Ansah is a New York-based Ghanaian artist whose pop art images are taking Instagram by storm. The artist told CNN "the piece I'm most proud of is the "Kanye West and Kim Kardashian" painting, because it was very challenging. I lost hope and almost gave up on that piece because it wasn't coming out as I expected. I worked on this painting for four days straight."

His work doesn't seem to be slowing down and alongside these celebrities re-imagined, Owusu-Ansah has created a clothing range. Here he has named Rihanna Robyn Rihanna Amahle Fenty.
